This is Moses Hardwick who came down to the studio last month. He’s about to go into his final year at RADA. I’ve included both the images he selected for this post because I love the way the smallest change in posture and expression can produce two totally different shots.
Its also worth mentioning that lighting black skin brings with it a different set of challenges as you can easily get more speculars and highlights. I thus used an large softbox and bounced it off the studio ceiling for these shots to diffuse the light as much as possible and avoide patches of high contrast shine appearing… Just in case anyone cares about that kinda stuff.
